Community (Mental Health) Supports for Child, Youth & Family

The Community Supports for Child, Youth and Family Program focuses on supporting youth with severe and persistent emotional, behavioral, and mental health needs.

Who is it for?

This service works with youth and their family.

When and where is it offered?

This service is provided to youth and their families in their home community. Meeting times are based on a schedule suitable to the youth/family and mental health clinician.

Does the program require a referral?

Clients/guardians can call and refer themselves or be referred by a family doctor, another health provider or an agency within the Guysborough Antigonish Strait Health Authority District. Referrals go through the single-entry referral / intake / triage process and then are directed to this specialized youth program based on identified needs.
