Community (Mental Health) Supports for Adults

A program of the outpatient service of Mental Health Services. The purpose is to support adults, living with a chronic and persistent mental illness, to live, work, learn and socialize in their community. Services are provided under the psychosocial rehabilitation philosophy which emphasizes individual strength, wellness, empowerment, capacity building and community integration.

Who is it for?

Adults (19 years or older) who live with a chronic and persistent mental illness.

When and where is the program offered?

The program is delivered throughout the community in client homes, community locations or hospital facilities at agreed upon date & time.

Does the program require a referral?

Clients can refer themselves or can be referred by a family doctor, another mental health provider or an agency within the Guysborough Antigonish Strait Health Authority District.
