Northern Shared Chronic Pain Service

In 2008 the provincial government began funding a provincial chronic pain service. GASHA, St.Martha's Regional Hospital, was one of the sites selected to begin a chronic pain multidisciplinary clinic. This chronic pain team consists of a physician, occupational therapist, physiotherapist and a mental health professional. The team assesses clients and the problems that chronic pain has created in their lives. One of the primary interventions the chronic pain service offers is a self-management program.

Target Audience
Adults living with chronic pain. Chronic, or persistent pain, is pain that lasts longer than the expected time of tissue healing, 6 months.

Time and Location the program/service is offered.
Tuesdays 8:30am - 4:00pm
